What is an affiliate marketing program? In simple terms, affiliate marketing is where you refer visitors from your website to a merchant's website. A merchant is any individual or company that sells products or services online. Wal-Mart, Home Depot, eBay, and Yahoo are all examples of merchants with affiliate programs. These companies pay their affiliates to promote their products and services online. Merchants with affiliate programs range in size from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
You earn commissions when the visitors you refer complete some type of action on a merchant's website. For example, you may earn a commission if the visitor you refer makes a purchase, completes a lead form, or downloads some software.
How much does it cost to join as an affiliate?
Absolutely free for affiliates. The goal is to help the best online merchants partner with great websites. Merchants are charged a fee for this service.
How do I know how much the merchant owes me?
You can see a daily update of how much you are owed. Should you require more detailed information, Payment Report lets affiliates review commission information by individual merchant, and the Merchant Payment History Report shows a merchant's payment history for the last six months.
How do I get the code for the links I put on my site?
You can get the HTML code for your links right from the affiliate interface. All you have to do is copy the code and paste it into your own HTML pages.
Good Luck and please let me know how you're doing with your affiliate business.
